#YOLO | Series One, Episode 1

Hey guys, today I thought I would give you some things to do to make you happy, so what if you regret it in a year? This is episode 1 of Series 1, I want you to complete at least one thing in each series (each will consist of 5 episodes), I'm going to go hard now so there is no getting out of this easy! Let's go!

First you must dig deep in your heart (mind) and see if you like anyone if that way, if you do keep reading, if not then wait for a new episode. Okay, now what you have to do is ask them if they like you, you can do this in many ways, here are three of many options:
1. Get your friends to say that a friend of theirs likes you and that they want to know if they like you back (what I chose)
2. Say that you have a friend that likes them and that they want to know if you like them
3. Just say that you like them and you want to know if you like them back (this would be ideal if you are pretty sure that they do like you)
They are two main responses, I like you or I don't like you, I'm going to tell you what to do now for both.
First, the I don't like you response, pick yourself back up! This happened to me about a week ago and I did cry for five minutes at school and he saw! That was a bit embarrassing because in a turn of events he found out that it was me asking, WOOHU! But I just picked myself back up and pretended I was fine, and now, a week later, I am. I know a lot of people wouldn't be fine and it would be extremely difficult to not cry for hours on end at school but just pick yourself up and ask yourself if this will really matter in a few years when you are married with kids. I would recommend cry into your pillow or crying yourself to sleep, it really does help.
Now if they said that they like you through whatever source WELL DONE YOU!!!!!! This part is not going to be very long:
ASK HE/SHE OUT!!!
I know that can be hard but get your friend to do it if you're that scared but if they say yes then act just like you would if he/she was your friend.
Now if you're a girl then you better not be saying that asking out is the boy's job. It's not the 50's, women no longer wonder when a boy will ask them out as they iron the babies and finish the vacuuming, so go get him!

Okay, that was Episode 1 of Series 1, I was originally going to do 10 things but then no. 1 got a bit longer than I expected so I like this arrangement. If you did this challenge with episode 1 then you have done what I wanted of you and you will get a shout out IF you comment on this episode if you did what I suggested. I will just add that I am not a drawer and the paper is a bit bent in this picture but I still like it because I never knew I was capable of this, I also found out that drawing is less frustrating that I thought it was, it's actually quite relaxing. No Ideas Block

Hey guys, I'm sorry that I haven't posted in like a week but I have had a block of time where I have just had no ideas! Sometimes I have so many ideas that I don't know what to do with them and now I see that there are times when I am sucked dry. I think I'm going to post again today about pinterest and 500 pageviews (which is a bit delayed as I now have around 560 pageviews), but don't expect too much.

As you may be able to tell, I have stopped daily posting because it's too much pressure and with all that on me I can't produce good stuff for you, I hope you're okay with this arrangement, I think it will be better for both of us. I may end up posting everyday for a week but we'll see . . .

A Wrinkle In Time

You may not have heard of a book called A Wrinkle In Time, I hadn't either until it got given to me for Novel Studies in Reading. I love reading and I can also be a bit of a nerd so I got super excited when I found out that we were doing Novel Studies. I remember a few years ago when the class beside mine got to read this big juicy book for Novel Studies and we didn't get to read anything, I was so sad, but now I can catch up on what I missed out on!

When I first got the book I thought it was going to be a boring book about time travel, this book was not like that at all. I'm really glad about that because I don't really like these books, I feel like they have no reality to them. Another thing about this book is it's strong characters, the main ones are a five year old boy who is extremely intelligent, the next character is a short tempered girl who is willing to put up a fight to defend her family, the final main character is a popular boy that comes from a poor family, he lives with people who are much less intelligent than him.

A New Gym

Hey guys, today I have some exciting news! I might be going . . .

TO A NEW GYM!!

It's a gym in Auckland and I might train there! I would go in the weekends but my mum doesn't even know yet. I have been emailing two ladies from there and I'm hoping that I could go. There is an extension class there that I have been invited to, it's for level two and I'm hoping that my Mum will let me (I haven't told her yet). I'll just do it for one term and then stay if I like it.

My Many Talents

Hey guys, this is an idea I came up with. It is not me bragging about how talented I am, it's me telling you how much of a dizzy frog I am. Here are three of my "talents". Enjoy!

I recently found out that I have the ability to fall up stairs, I'M SOOOOOO AWESOME (not). I never knew I had this life changing talent until a few weeks a go when I feel up the stairs, I have done this again since then.

My next talent is my eyebrows, they can go in weird straight lines, like this: \ /. People get freaked out when I do that thing with my eyebrows. I always try to remember how I do it but I never can, I just do naturally.

My final talent is being creepy, I can do faces, phrases and even songs! In J Rock I was the bad guy and I did a face where I couldn't see because of my eyebrows (sorry, it's hard to explain).

"You Won't Make It"

Today's post is another one about perseverance but it's a bit different (but still about gymnastics). Enjoy . . .

All the time I am told that I won't make it to the Olympics, even my Mum said that that's a dream and a dream is not necessarily achievable. It's your choice whether you believe him or not, I don't at all. I believe that you can do whatever you set your mind to if you give 100% effort and TIME, that can be the hard part because people generally have lives apart from whatever you want to achieve.

I want to tell you something that is actually happening right now, so I will:

I want to train at a gym called North Harbour Gymnastics Centre but my family live over 3 hours away from this centre, they probably don't take kids my age into competitive artistic gymnastics, I emailed one of the coaches/organizers asking if they do a few hours ago, I haven't gotten a reply yet, I keep checking and I'll update you every step of the way.

Perserverance

Hello everybody, today I thought I would post about getting back up and perseverance, being a gymnast I know a lot about falling over. I will try to make this post as different from that primary school speech you yawned through. Other than that, welcome back to Smiley Central!

One rule in gymnastics in that when you start working on a new move, you must get winded at least once, especially if you invented the move yourself. After all these years I found that being able to laugh at yourself (once you’ve gotten your breath back) makes it a whole lot easier. 

I have OCD so I deal with learning and practising things a bit differently, instead of practising a few times and then having a break for an hour or so and trying again later, I practise again and again until it is perfect and then have a five minute break only to repeat the process with some other move or routine I made up. Sidenote: I will never understand the people who leave things to the last minute, my homework is done the second it gets assigned.

This getting back up applies to everything, please don’t do it to my extent, take a break or two but just know that the harder you work to get the thing you are striving for, the better it is when you get it (sorry, corny, I know).

My Opinion On University

Hello everybody, today I wanted to write about my opinion on going to uni and getting a career, this is not an advice post, I haven’t been to uni, it’s just my opinion on this subject. Other than that, welcome back to Smiley Central.

I find choosing a career and going to university daunting, especially as uni is such a lot of money, you don’t want to choose wrong and end up not wanting to go. It’s scary to think that this is one of the biggest decisions in your life because you’ll probably go to work for the next 40 or 50 years, I know that you can change careers later on but all that money spent on your previous career is wasted.

I just want more than going to work and having such routine, I often wonder why everything is here, bees make honey to keep themselves fed but they also keep plants and us alive, but what is every species here for? Is there some kind big happy ending in millions of years to congratulate us for surviving this long or are we just here to survive?

I know that this post is very deep but I’m not going to apologize for questioning the value and meaning of live, okay I’m going to go and do something now, byeeeee!

My Body Is Psychic

Cracked Heel

Hey guys, middle of the day post alert!! I'm sick but I still have to go to school because my Mum has "team meetings" all morning, I could go home at lunch but I'm sort of feeling okay. Types Of People In Arguments

As you you know from reading my blog, if I have an idea then I post about it, so last night I was thinking about types of people in fights, I know there are many but here are some categories:

1. "It Never Happened."

This is the person that will say something very hurtful and then act as if they never said it the next time they see you. The good thing about this person is that they can also be the one to forget/pretend that you never said that mean thing.

2. "I'm Sorry."

This is ME!! This person will say sorry at any chance of an argument because they hate it. I know that, in an argument, this is a lot of people's favourite friend. Speaking from experience, this is usually the person how is really fiery in an argument because they might need to get it out of their system.

3. "Bring It On!"

This is the person who wants an argument, this is sometimes a person in general but is usually just somebody who woke up on the wrong side of the bed. On this day, you just want to get away from this person because you know that anything you say will be wrong.

How I Whiten My Teeth

Hey guys, in this post I thought I would give you a step by step tutorial on how I whiten my teeth, THIS WORKS.

Step 1: Buy a toothbrush and toothpaste, you may already have these things lying around.

Step 2: Put some toothpaste on the toothbrush.

Step 3: Find the bristle end of the brush and move side to side and up and down on your teeth.

Step 4: Continue this process for two minutes.

Step 5: Repeat steps 1-4 in the morning after you have eaten and in the evening after you have eaten.

JOKES!!

For real though, I have an electric toothbrush that can charge which means that it last years. You can get different toothbrush heads so a whole family can share one toothbrush, it also has a timer so you can be sure to use it for two minutes, this is a weird thing to link you to but click HERE to be sent to the toothbrush I use.

My Harry Potter Journey

When I was younger I didn't want to read Harry Potter, I don't why. It wasn't because I couldn't be bothered reading them, I am a total book worm! My friend Haylea has read all books 56 times or something crazy like that and she spent all of Years 3 and 4 trying to convince me to read Harry Potter, then I finally did. It was a big step in my life, these books do take a bit of time to read! My rule when reading the Harry Potter books was that I had to finish the book THEN watch the movies.

Girl Online Book Review

Hey guys, I know this post is late, I explained the reason in my last post (this is 1:00's post). I'm going to start the occasional book review, I read a lot so I thought it would be a good idea. Today I'm going to review one of my favourite books: Girl Online by Zoe Sugg (Zoella)

I love watching Zoella the YouTube channel and I used to read her blog when she still posted.

I really love this book, it's very relatable to people with anxiety issues, it's a great love story with a shocking twist at the end, there are hints along the way but they are hard to pick up when you're wrapped up in the warm fuzzy life of Penny. It's a gripping story I couldn't put down, literally!

I can't wait for the sequel which comes out this October!

Cow Evolution

Sorry for being very late, I had some technical difficulties, such as thinking that my computer was broken because it wouldn't turn on. The following post was meant to be published at 12:00, enjoy!

Okay guys, in my fifth post today, I'm going to talk about this phone game I love, it's called Snake . . .

JOKES, it's actually called Cow Evolution (as you have guessed from the title of this post).

So how it works is that you get crates, when you tap them you get a baby cow, once you get another baby cow you can join those two together. Then you get a bigger cow and so on, but you can only join the cows if they are of the same kind. There are different colours of poop and when you get bigger cows you get more money from the poop.

I'm at the stage where I've bought all the upgrades and I have nothing to really do with my money. I know that there are lots of games in the evolution series so I might download Blob Fish Evolution.

My Idea

Sorry about the short post, I just came back from 5 hours of J Rock practice.

I can't post on Monday. I'm going to be at the real performance (at the Rotorua convention centre) from 9:30 AM till after 10:00 PM, that's 12 and a half hours!!

YouTube Frustrating Me And J Rock

Hey guys, sorry I'm late, I have had a very busy week. Today's post is about YouTube being annoying and me in J Rock! Welcome back to Smiley Central!

Okay so about YouTube. I had my first video almost fully edited which had taken about an hour (no exaggerations) and then it crashed and now I have to edit it AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to do that tomorrow because I want to take a break to calm down and it MAY be up by the next day (I don't want to put pressure on myself).

Okay about J Rock, it's a dance thingy, I got in to it because there was a gymnast but he pulled so now I'm in. (Have I said I'm a gymnast before? Well I am.) I'll (probably horribly) explain it to you.

Okay, there is a boy and he decides what he want to do when he's older: a soldier in the army. Most of the crew come in and do push-ups, then they turn into police. A bad guy comes along and they turn him good, then I come along with a great entrance. I do a forwards walkover while around 12 people are pointing guns at me. They do their training of punching and kicking each other and I push them over (like a criminal would).
Then they pull me in to a scrunch up ball (eeekkk) and we explode by jumping out.

I'm giving YouTube a try! I love watching youtubers and all I did on this blog was give it a try so it might take off!

300 Pageviews And Nerdy/OCD Thinking

It's past 8:00 and I haven't post properly yet, I know and I'm sorry. But in other news:

I HAVE 300 PAGEVIEWS!

I guess our next goal is 400, then 500. I can only imagine that day that I get 1000. I will of course do the most amazing post ever for that!

Okay the point of this post is to tell you about my nerdy/OCD way of thinking.

I get very excited when it is, for example, 3:33, probably like some other people, but I have a very mathamatical way of thinking bout the time. Say the time is 8:24, I will get excited because eight times three is twenty four. I can do this with any time. Leave me a comment with any time and I will tell you what would go on in my head.

This one is the OCD one, there is an alarm bell that goes off in my head if something is uneven obviously but for the littlest things I'm always thinking about how it could be better. Take a picture of anything and leave it down in the comments and I will tell you how it could be better.

I know that when you click on a blog, you want to read it, not publish comments (unless you're a troll) but please make sure you do if you have any ideas for this blog. Also if I get enough questions in the comments section I will do a Q and A post.

My Sugar Secret

Just a quick secret about sugar . . .

Juice.

I stopped drinking juice and felt so much better, all you need to do is stop for a week. After that you'll stop craving it, go on, try!

The first week is hard because if you drink it a lot then you are used to it, just overcome the temptation and you'll be fine.

So I Write Songs . . .

 Hey guys, today I thought I would let you in on a little secret: I write songs, lots of songs.

I have been writing properly since I was six or seven but when I was two I would sing about what was going on while I sat in my car seat. This passion is fun but also difficult. Finding words that flow with the song and rhyme can be hard.
