Hey guys I don't know when this post is going to be publiushed but I really want to talk about racism. There are so many misunderstandings of racism so I want to talk about them.
First of all, here is the dictionary definition of racism:
1Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior:

1.1The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races:

I don't know if it is my classmates' age that is the problem or if it is the whole world now but some people say that it is racist to say that a pencil is black (?!). Black is a colour. If I asked to borrow a purple colouring pencil, would you care? Probably not. It is frustrating that so many people do not really know what racism is.
If you are one of the people that think the word black is racist then please watch THIS video, it might help you understand. The teacher in that video was racist, he harmed somebody because they were from a different race.

OMG I totally understand. Now days everyone says stop being racist when we're not even doing anything. Like saying that hat's black. When we are not even doing anything. Now every time I'm going to say the word black, I have to come up with a way to make it so no one says I'm being racist. Also at the end, you said "I feel so much better noe" Instead of now. Just pointing that out to you.

DeleteYeah this is so true even though sometimes people are being racist but not all the time so people don't have to say "Oh stop being racist" when your not. Now I feel like I always have to watch what I say in case someone says I'm being racist when really I'm not. I mean come on its just a black pencil. Like you pointed out who cares purple is a colour. What if I said "Can you pass me that yellow pencil" Is that being racist towards the Simpsons. I don't know but I don't think it is. Some people need to stop saying that your being racist when your not.
